The following general terms and conditions (GTC) apply to the implementation of events and retreats by BhaktiRetreat (KGS – Krishna Community Switzerland) – regardless of the venue of the booked event.
The participant can only book accommodation directly with the specified seminar hotel, which also bears sole responsibility for the contractual provision of all services associated with accommodation. BhaktiRetreat is responsible for the organization and implementation of the retreat; BhaktiRetreat is not a tour operator or travel agent.

The minimum age for booking and participating in the events is 18 years. The participant books the retreat via the website. The purchase price is due immediately upon booking, a deposit of can be deposited by arrangement, but the remaining amount must be paid no later than 60 days before the start of the retreat. The prices stated on the website are final prices and include the currently applicable sales tax. We offer payment methods via our software.
Rights & Obligations of the Participant
The participant is obliged to provide his or her personal data truthfully and completely during the ordering process. The participant undertakes to promptly communicate any changes to his or her data, such as email address, name, address and telephone number.
The participant must meet the necessary requirements for participation in the retreat on his own responsibility and at his own expense. This applies in particular to the booking/possible cancellation of transport, accommodation and meals.
Participation in the retreat requires normal psychological and physical resilience. If the participant is undergoing medical or psychotherapeutic treatment, he or she is required to discuss participation with the doctor or therapist.
Please report any physical or psychological limitations or complaints to BhaktiRetreat before the start of the retreat so that the course leader can adapt to them.
Rights & Responsibilities of BhaktiRetreat
The scope of the services to be provided by BhaktiRetreat extends exclusively to the implementation of the retreat. BhaktiRetreat does not owe any additional services.
BhaktiRetreat is entitled to change the timing or content of a retreat or to omit individual components of it, provided this does not change the aim and overall character of the retreat.
BhaktiRetreat is entitled to send the participant an information email with summarized information about the retreat a few weeks before the start of the retreat. This email will also state whether materials such as yoga mats must be brought by the participant or are available at the venue.
BhaktiRetreat is entitled to use other teachers to carry out the retreat if the announced teacher is unavailable. The replacement of the teacher does not entitle the participant to withdraw from the contract or to terminate the contract.
BhaktiRetreat undertakes to inform the participant no later than four weeks before the start of the course that the retreat cannot be carried out due to the minimum number of participants not being reached. The course fee paid will be refunded immediately.
BhaktiRetreat is not liable for participants’ claims arising from their contractual relationship with the seminar hotel. This also applies to any claims made by participants as a result of a cancellation of their hotel booking after the retreat has been cancelled.
There is no right of withdrawal for consumers, Section 312g Paragraph 2 Sentence 1 No. 9 BGB. Booking a retreat is a service related to a leisure activity. According to Section 312g Paragraph 2 No. 9 BGB, there is no right of withdrawal for such services.
Cancellation/substitute participant
The participant can cancel at any time before the start of the retreat. The compensation will be calculated as a percentage of the course fee as follows after receipt of the participant’s written cancellation notice:
Up to 90 days before the start of the course: 30% of the purchase price
89 days to 60 days before the start of the course: 60% of the purchase price
59 days to 0 days before the start of the course: 100% of the purchase price
The cancellation conditions are chosen due to the high rents for the event rooms; we recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance, which is not very expensive.
The participant can provide a replacement participant until the start of the booked retreat, who will assume the rights and obligations of the contract.

BhaktiRetreat reserves the right to take image and video recordings during the retreat for use and publication of such recordings on its own website and social media as well as for distribution to cooperation partners. The participant hereby declares his consent to images and video recordings of himself. The participant can revoke his consent on site before the image and video recordings are made to the person taking the recordings.
The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
